When it comes to bringing out the best in the human spirit, there is nothing quite like sports. Sports is one of the most powerful teachers.
It teaches us to remain focused and to develop a new strategy to redirect ourselves to our goal. It inculcates in us team spirit and helps us to overcome adversities.
St. Joseph Public School celebrated its Sports Day on 21st March. The chief guest for the occasion was Dr. Atul Krishna, President Subharti Educational Establishment. Mr. Ajay Gupta, an eminent entrepreneur was the Guest of Honour.
Mr. T. C. Shastri, Chairman, St. Joseph Public School presided over the function.
The Sports Day marked the culmination of a year long sports activities. The programme began with a March Past by all the four houses of the school who marched to the beat of the drum.
Dr. Atul Krishna declared the meet open emphasizing the importance of sports in his speech.
The Sports Captain of the school led the four houses to the oath taking ceremony. The events commenced with a classical dance to invoke blessings of the Almighty as also reflecting the diaphanous cultural membrane of our country.
The school children displayed a plethora of sports related activities and enthralled the spectators. The children came up with innovative races which also depicted their concern for the planet earth. Eco-friendly race and Wildlife Saviour races from the Kindergarte section displayed the concern of the tiny tots f their planet, Earth.

It was beautiful sight to see the children dressed in brightly coloured dresses taking part in the races.
The Senior Section also took part in the slo cycling race, the too mt race, the skipping ra and the relay race.
The highlight of the day was the prize distribution by the distinguished guests who awarded medals, cups and trophies to the participants in the various interhouse matches and games.
Besides enthralling the audience with their on-field performance, the children me smerized the spectators with a cultural extra-vaganza also to break the monotony of the track events.
The adroit children showed their skills in Aerobics, Skating and Judo Karate an scintillating field dance performances were astounding.
The cultural show came to an end with th Gypsy Dance which saw the children gyrating to foot tapping beats of spanish music overall the sports day was a grand success.
